Can a 2004 Sebring be driven without an instrument cluster without issue?

If I'm not mistaken I did back mine out of my parking spot at my apartment complex to turn it around without a dash installed.

Just because a 2004 Sebring can be driven doesn’t mean that it should be driven.

I’d suggest taking a look at a wiring diagram. If its not really outputting anything important, I cant see why not. Most of the instrument cluster should just be receiving inputs, especially on a 2004 car. I’d wonder if you might have issues with the lights or turn signals. But assuming the car starts, it should be fine.

Yes.

‘04 Sebrings are still CCD bus system and there’s no critical paths in the IPC. RKE may not function though.

edit: and no, you don’t want to know how I know that shit off the top of my head. Please remember to use at least 50 gallons of bleach after burning. Or coming into contact with it.

I don’t think so.  a 2004 would still be using a single-wire SAE J1850 bus, and a fault like that could prevent the vehicle from starting.

How else are you getting it to the junkyard? Nobody wants one of those things leaking on their tow truck.

The EL backlighting is flakey and we're going to send it off for a repair. So the answer to your question is currently "no".

Put it in an enclosed trailer so people don’t have to look at it and put an oil pan underneath.

and for god’s sakes, please stop asking questions like this. my dad bought a 1973 Mercury Cougar convertible, brand new. By 1977 it had multiple holes in the body due to rust.  I was like a few years old when I became obsessed with that car. I was fortunate to be able to drive it. but we had to sign it off last year.

I don’t see why not? Use an app like Torque for speed, etc until the cluster gets back?
